I got a Cingular phone about 8 months ago, and it has a one-year contract. That contract will be ending soon, and I want a new phone, but I don't want another contract. I've heard that some people buy the phones off eBay and just switch the SIM cards in the back. This is one way of getting around a contract, but I don't feel comfortable using eBay. Does anyone know of any other ways of getting a new Cingular phone without a new contract?

You can purchase a cingular phone from several online vendors, www.myworldphone.com, where no contract is required. The challenge is that phones without contracts are very expensive as the carriers "Cingular" in this case give price breaks for locking you in as customer for 12-24 months. So the big question should be do I want to spend $400 for a $100 phone so that I do not have to be locked into a contract.

Good luck

Once you contract is up in order to get a new phone you have to pay full price for the phone or sign up for another contract to get those cheap deals thats how they get you staying with them but if you just want the new phone and not the contract yeah look on ebay just make sure you buy the phone that is compatible with your provider.

With those you purchase minutes (which conceal all of your files desires like texting, information superhighway and so on.) with the help of determining to purchase a card at 7eleven or paying on-line with a mastercard. settlement amenities are binding meaning your going to pay for 2 years or incurr a cancellation fee. pay as you bypass is self explanatory.
