It is soooooooooo wrong. It only means they want power over you. Don't give them power.

There is nothing of love that cannot be expressed by other means than a hit. And as long as you allow the first one to go unmentioned you welcome the next one.
If your partner loves you, or even respects you, he will find a way to deal with his anger in ways that don't cause harm.
Get help and get away. He will probably beg and say he will never do it again. You need to put a person or people between you and him---relatives, police, therapist, the court.
Good luck.

What did you do that provoked it or even drew that kind of reaction from someone? Anyone who tells you that hitting is always wrong is a complete and utter a-- hole. Sometimes, people earn a good punch, they just dont want to admit it. They are the dopes that think they should be able to do what they want toward someone and then tell the other person how to respond back to them.

This is a stupid question and you are stupid for asking this question. If a guys lay his hands on you then he is not a man to begin with. He is a punk and a asshole. If you are stupid to stick around a let this happen then you really have no business even asking this stupid question because you are stupid. Girls should not even be hitting guys also because they would not like it when the guy rear back a slap her with a hard lefty. To sum this all up hell yeah it is wrong for anyone to be hitting anyone.

I'm going to take the contrarian view on this.

Things happen. If you get into a situation, and it gets out of hand, and someone you otherwise have a good relationship does something regetable...you can get past it. But, you really have to want to.

That said, the above applies exactly once. Someone who expresses themselves with violence generally either doesn't care about you at all or needs serious help. (It's a pretty dark place to be if you don't know what to do but lash out at someone you love, but it happens.) If you do try to work through a relationship with those kinds of issues, you needs professional help, and your partner has to be prepared to accept you taking serious security precautions while they straighten out. If they can't, or won't do that, you need to get out...and fast.

It is wrong.....totally. Love doesn't physically hurt. Involve the police. Don't give them an inch. If they start hitting on you, then they'll figure it's ok and first thing you know you're a punching bag. I've seen it time and time again. My best advice to you is to dump the abuser. NEVER put up with that again....there is no excuse. Best of luck to you.

Hitting is abuse. The guy is belittling you & DOES NOT care about you. His behavior will escalate because he can't handle his frustration. Get out now. You have the right to choose & be with a good guy. No matter what you do, hitting is never right.

That's the ultimate "no way in hell" should you EVER tolerate physical or emotional abuse. Leave the jerk, and respect yourself. It won't get better. There are people that would treat you good. He/she does not care about you if they hit, hitting is a form of controlling behavior, get out before you get hurt.

IT IS NEVER RIGHT FOR SOMEONE TO HIT YOU

that is abuse no matter which way you look at it.

look at it this way ok
if you have a child would you hit the child all the time NO because it is wrong you are not showing you care about that child and the same goes for consinting adults

my daughters father raised his hand to me once i told him IF HE DID THAT AGAIN IT WOULD BE THE LAST THING HE EVER DID.
because it is never right.

Hitting is not a way to show someone you love or care about them. Do you show your love to him like that? Would it be acceptable to him for you to show your love like that? Let me guess. No. Right? Hitting is a way to try to get others to subject their will to yours or a way to make someone feel smaller than yourself. It is ALWAYS wrong for your boyfriend/spouse to hit you. Get out now while you still can. These relationships often turn fatal.

it means they like you if you are 5 or under, but because you are 'lovers' I'm guessing that's not the case. Leave them now before it gets worse. no one has the right to hit you and it definitely doesn't mean they care about you!!
