It's for small business use with accounting software, HS internet, webhosting, CD or DVD player, MS office or XP. The one I was recommended to get priced around $ 1500.

Hey Dude,

I have a whole day class for people wanting to buy their first laptop or computer, and you want something in a paragraph or less? :)

Buying a computer or laptop is like buying your house. You have a basic idea of what it is and what to look for, however, you really don't know what is all involved until you actually own it. Once you do, you can see the features and things you like and dislike about it.

For anyone buying their first laptop, I would suggest buying one of the cheapest ones you can find, even used, knowing that you will probably only have it for 6 months to a year. $1500 is probably a very fine laptop, for someone like me. Accounting software is a bit tricky in that those folks have NO CLUE how to write software that is not a memory pig. Accounting software writers must be in bed with the hardware people. :)

Every good accountant I know has to upgrade their computers once every 1 to 2 years. That is the only way to keep up with those crappy accounting programs like "Slow"books.

Apple MacBook Is Good It's Usually Around 1000$ It's A Good Laptop, Good Price, Good Specs (Except For Gaming). You Can Have Windows XP On It Too... It's Like Having To Computers In One. Anyway Choose The Laptop That You're Comfortable With Whether Its Windows/Mac/Linux.

Tip.

1. Most People That Says That Apple Sux, Haven't Even Tried It, They're Just Windows Fanatic. I Was A Windows User Myself But I Switched To Apple Ten Minutes After Trying One (I've Seen The Light).

2. Mac & Linux OS Is More Secure Than Windows.

3. Mac & Linux Currently Invulnerable To Comp. Viruses
