Aluminum blocked cars are a bit harder to find than iron, but they're out there. Some examples I can think of are as follows:

1. The Buick 215 aluminum V8 showed up in quite a few Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac cars of the early '60s. The rarest is the Oldsmobile Jetfire Turbo, the first production turbocharged car.

2. Chrysler built a few aluminum versions of their 225 Slant Six in 1960 and 1961 - maybe 1962 too. This is very rare. Seems to have shown up most often in Valiants and Lancers.

3. There was a very rare Chevy big block in the late '60s; I believe this was called the ZL1. I don't think they made more than a hundred of these.

4. The Chevy Vega inline four from the '70s used an aluminum engine - without iron cylinder liners. These didn't last very well.

5. Porche used alloy engines - but for a long time, these were magnesium and not aluminum. So did Volkswagen. I think Porsche switched to aluminum sometime in the '70s.

6. Some of the MGBs came with aluminum V8's. This V8 came from Rover, and just happened to be... the Buick 215, modified a little after Buick sold their tooling for this engine to the Brits. I think this engine may be in the Triumph TR8, too.

And there may have been one or two Italian cars sold here with aluminum engine blocks, too.

I wouldn't recommend an all-aluminum exhaust system... parts of the exhaust glow red hot, and aluminum is not as good at taking the heat as steel or iron.

The most common aluminum American block was 427 big block in the Corvette. Some found their way into a few Camaros, such as the Yenko and the COPOs.

These are all rare, and worth a small fortune if they are in a numbers matching car.

No one successfully made an aluminum exhaust manifold, as they all dripped aluminum as they heated up, and all melted through in a very short time.

nothing has an aluminium exhaust, its too light and wont stand up to the heat. as for the block, you might find an aluminum block in some of the older Vettes, but im not sure.
