no, but i did with northwest airlines.about a stewardess. she was so rude .even went as far as to raise her voice to me. i filed a complaint .all i got was an apology from the airlines

I have not filed a complaint with American Airlines but you may want to check out my two sources below. 1...Complaints.com seem to have a extensive database of complaints including methods for getting publicity etc. 2..IF that doesn,t suit your needs; try DMOZ/ Open Directory. Search until you find section saying Home/Consumer Information / Complaints. This is a list of web sites that complaints of various types. the only airline we filed a complaint with was Capitol Air, back in the 80's. we filed in person and by letter. nothing favorable.
to answer your question, it depends on the type of complaint you have.
