I have willingly volunteered to help my newly found guy friend to play the piano accompany part of this double cello concerto for a dinner concert for our high school. Although he and I may be as close as best friends can be, I have already developed deep feelings for him, hence gotten to know him better. And, another thing is that he has also given another guy the music for the piano accompany part and that other guy is a senior whereas im merely a freshman, hence he has more experience than me! I've tried to take as much time possible to work on the piece, but hw and a lot of other things have kept me from pertaining my goal of practicing piano everyday, or even once a week. My friend told me just a couple of days ago that after the first three weeks of January, he wants both me and the other guy to compete for the piano accompany. I'm practicing like crazy, but how can I get the most out of my practicing in such little time?

The best way for me to learn a new song is to play the whole thing through, even if i mess up here and there.
Just keeping the timing right, then when you get that, work on getting the notes right. Do this about 3 or 4 times and you should do pretty good. I think you want if you want it bad enough you'll get it.

Good Luck

you have to choose one thing or the other. It sounds like you cannot have both.
