Make sure he hasn't already gotten one. if he's the gamer type, sure. Most DS games attract all gamers, even non-gamers (one of Nintendo's powers), and they're rated E or T, appropiate for his age.

attempt getting some action video games that he likes for the DS or get a great card basicly what it relatively is a card which you would be able to acquire DS video games of the internet and onto the cardboard and suits into the DS yet its around $50,00 might aswell purchase him some Mario video games. each and every toddler likes Mario. Or Pokemon Diamond or Pearl variations.

much better than a psp because the ds has more children oriented games like mario and if he likes pokemon then he should get it and wait till april when pokemon diamond and pearl come out

Yeah he'd like it, but it also depends on his game choices if he likes killing people or nintendo games like mario, luigi and things like that. If he like nintendo games(Mario, Luigi, Etc.) yes, if he likes killing people then probably not.
