what exactly does it mean "light" can't escape from black hole? Does it mean even if you go as fast as light, you still can't escape from it, right?

black holes are not actually holes but named that because they suck everything in.
black holes are made up of basically antimatter, proven by nasa on 10-5-06 and the more specific word is positron. positron is positively charged. matter is made up with electrons which are negatively charged, so when positrons and electrons come together they basically destroy each other and emit x and gamma rays. :)

and why light cannot escape has two possible reasons and most likely both. 1. super stong gravity. 2. light photons are electromagnetic waves which are waves of electrons and when electrons and positrons combine, its about the same as combining a +1 and a -1 so it goes byebye =)

A black hole is an object, it has gravity, gravity gone wild. It is formed when stars or great gas clouds collapse. When they say not even light can escape, it means exactly that. As Einstein predicted, light is affected by gravity. If the gravity is strong enough light will bend back on itself (according to Einstein, gravity bends space-time) and not be able to escape the black hole.

A black hole is an object in the center of every galaxy, the gravity is so strong that light(photons)cannot radiate from the surface.

It is a theory. That is all. Even then its not a good one. Were you to determine mass acceleration within our sun, you would find that at 400 miles from its very center, were a mass able to be released there and free to fall, it would exceed the speed of light in one second. This means matter cannot exist anywhere within a 800 mile diameter of our our sun. Within our planet this distance begins 0.716 miles from its very center. Were a "black hole" to be a reality one would have formed already within our sun. But, if such were to come to pass, it would gobble up our planet.

Object. It has a huge amount of mass in a very small area, which warps the space around it according to general relativity. Light goes along with the space, like a ball rolling on a surface - it follows the warped space.

it is a massive burned out star. it's gravitational pull is so strong that nothing can escape. if light were to pass through it. it would not make it out. it would be sucked in. the speed of light is 186,000 miles per second, so yes i feel that would be fast enough to escape its gravitational pull. A black is basically a star that exploded and then collapsed upon itself creating whirlpool like suction.

a black hole is simply a region of space where nothing exists

its where gravity is uncontrollable, everything gets sucked in, regardless of mass and speed. The only safe bet is if you are far enough from it so the gravity is nullified

people believe that its a extra-dimensinal porthole, but the only way u'll ever know is if you go through it. But you'll die before u even reach it, cause of its enormous gravitational pull.

My uncle said that the black hole is a big black whole that makes the planets stay where they are. If their wasn't a black hole, the planets will be all over.
