Go through the words one by one, spending a couple of minutes on each. Read the word, pronounce it out loud, write it down, close your eyes and visualize it in your head and use it in a sentence. As you're going through the words, divide them into three columns: "Know," "Sort of know" and "Definitely don't know" (be honest!). After going through all 600 words, put the "Know" words to the side. Then focus on the "Sort of know" words, looking for prefixes, suffixes, etc. Also try to make relevant sentences from the letters of shorter words (remember ROY G BIV for the colors of the rainbow, or My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pickles for the planets???) Then move on to the "Definitely don't know" words and use the above techniques. Leave yourself enough time at the end to look at all the words again. You may not be able to truly memorize all 600 words in 4 days, but this sort of last-minute cramming may keep the words in your short-term memory long enough to get you through the spelling bee. Good luck!

Since you said the words are not hard, you probably don't need to worry about learning 600 words, you just need to learn the ones that might give you trouble.
If you have someone to work with who is patient, have them quiz you on about 100 words at a time. You don't need to study first.
Each time you miss a word, write it down with the correct spelling. You will probably discover that you can already spell a number of them correctly.
After you go through the first 100, have them re-quiz you on the ones you missed. Then re-quiz you on the ones you missed the second time, etc. until you you have finished that block and spelled every word correctly at least once.
Then do the next block of words is the same way until you have gone through them all. You should be able to get through all 600 words in one day, so on the second day start over again. By the third day you should know them all.

All I can say is that when I had this exact same problem for the spelling bee (I only had 300 though and 2 1/2 days), what I did was first to learn the definitions for each word so that you recognize each of them. Then, I bought this software program from the internet called ispellwell (all one word) and that tested me for each word and if i got a word wrong, then it would go back and test me on that word again at the end. so, my advice is just to study really hard and as much as you can! Good Luck! = )

Simple math.
600 words divided by 4 days= 150 words a day.
This way you won't get overwhelmed by the amount of words you learn on any given day. Study first thing in the morning, then again right before you go to sleep.

lol-Divide 600 words by 4 days and that is 150 per day. Divide 150 by 7.5 hours per day of studying and that is 20 per hour. That is about 10 words per half hour, 5 words per 15 minutes, or 1 one every 3 minutes.
Have fun

categorize the words (super easy, silent letters, hardest, etc) and count all the ones that are not super easy, divide by 4. read through all of them a few times and see how many more you can put into the super easy pile. then study the number of words that you got from dividing the number by four. also, read through the easy ones each day.
hope this helps and good luck

Group the words in families such as those with ie. This will help you learn the similarities and remember them by association. This is a strategy used by teachers.
