Love Harry Potter!!!!
My kids make fun of me!
I recently read the Da Vinvi Code (I always jump on the band wagon late!) and I was so excited that they referenced Harry Potter in it that I laughed out loud and had to find my husband to tell him all about it! He thinks I'm a total dork! Can't wait for the next movie to come out, OotP is my favorite book in the series. REALLY can't wait for the book! Is Snape good or evil? Will we even find out!

It is absolutely amazing what effect Harry Potter books and movies have on their fans (me - one of them). And if you can just imagine that it actually all started with one single book. When the first book hit the shelves of bookstores around the world, most adults didn’t really care for it - it was just another story about magic. But kids from all over the world loved it and it got the adult’s attention as well. Now both adults and kids love Harry Potter's adventures. It is just a good (magical:) way to escape from our boring everyday lives.

I' m a huge fan too. I can't wait until the 7th book (and the bookstore bash wahoo) but of course am sad to see the series end. I wonder if their is a connection between godric's hallow and deathly hallows. I hope lord V. (I can't spell it) dies and Harry and Ginny get together again.

I cannot deny that anything having to do with Harry Potter seems to be more popular than sliced bread.

But I guess I'm just too old-fashioned. The way people -- children and adults alike -- go "goo-goo gah-gah" over these totally fictional tales is beyond my comprehension. You'd think that J. K. Rowling had found cures for all the kinds of cancer there are, or something.

I don't expect ANYone to agree with me, but you asked, so I'm telling. Enjoy your Harry Potter, but I'm sorry ... I just don't get it.

The books are well-written and enjoyable. They have inspired many children and young people to read, which is a very good thing. The movies are fun to watch and it's cool to see the kids grow up through them. Although I'm looking forward to the last book, I'm somewhat concerned about what the ending is going to be.
