can i use very old spainsh moss for bedding in hut i think it would hold moisture well and be clean. i bought this spainish moss about 4 years ago and put it around plants in my home. even if it were new is it treated with bad stuff?

No you are better off using mulch.

I would use spanish moss purchased from a pet store or even an online reptile supply provider.
I think that using spanish moss for your gecko would be fine, just monitor the moisture levels.

It should be fine as long as it is not treated.
I would not use it if you have a very dusty home, or if you smoke in your house.
