On Gary Allen's CD "See if I Care" is a song called "Songs About Rain". I thought I remembered this song from long ago, possibly a Ronnie Milsap (or at least that era) song. Does anyone know if Gary Allen wrote, or was the first person to record this song? Thanks

gary allen sings it, but Liz Rose and Pat McLaughlin wrote it. i dont know if anyone else performed it

I believe he was the first person to sing it, however originality in music is all but gone, so I'm sure back then someone somewhere sung something similar.

he didn't write it..Liz Rose/Pat McLaughlin wrote it..i don't know if he was the first to sing it or not
