I'm thinking about going to Morocco on vacation. What time of year is the weather best? What towns are best to visit? Is it safe for a woman to travel there alone?

I lived in Morroco for one year so I know the climate quite well. The best time to go would be Spring because it's not too hot. Summers can be brutal especially in the south. The best places to visit are definitely Marrakech and Fes.

Ive been twice. It's best to go in the summer because its warmer and there are more tourist and sense you are travelling alone thats when u should go. Casablanca (for the beaches and the Grand Mosque), Rabat, Agadir are some cities to visit.
If you speak Arabic or French you will get by pretty well. If not you should bring someone who does. Morocco is a poor country so be careful of ppl pick pocketing.
It's a Muslim country but its not strict on what women wear. (but you wouldnt want to wear too much reveling clothes walking or youll get unwanted attention ex. shorts)
Im going back in the summer myself. Good Luck
I think u should bring a friend though.

Sounds great. Check out this article from Travel and Leisure.
Heard that a lot Europeans go there, so it should be fairly safe and as always traveling in Muslim and Hindu countries, women are expected to dress conservatively - no skin showing. And do beware of sterotype of woman traveling alone. We, westerners, don't think much of it, but they do. Wear a wedding band helps keep away the unwanted attention.
