The main "Sims" games are The Sims and The Sims 2 (computer). There are expansion packs for these games, listed below, but there are also sims videogames.

The Sims (1)-PC ("first sim game")
(I'm pretty sure it's in order, can't remember)
Expansion Packs:
Livin' Large (extra stuff)
House Party (throw parties)
Hot Date (go out on dates)
Vacation (go on vacation)
Unleashed (have pets)
Superstar (be famous)
Makin' Magic (be wizards)

The Sims (1)-Gamecube, Xbox, PS2
Same platforms with The Sims 2.

Also, The Sims Bustin' Out, I think for GBA or DS. Not sure.

There's also DVD editon and Holiday edition for the Sims 2, Deluxe Edition and Complete Collection for Sims 1, and a Simcity or Simcoaster game or two. Deluxe Edition has some new features and includes (actually, is) Sims 1 + Livin' Large. Complete Collection is the Sims 1 + all the expansion packs--I reccomend this.

If you want to look up an expansion pack, include the original game with a colon right before it; for example, don't search "Unleashed". Search "The Sims: Unleashed."

The Sims 2 is better than 1, but 1's more classic, and is cheaper/requires less from your computer. The Sims 2, demanding a REALLY good video/graphic card, has absolutely amazing scenery/graphics.

The stuff packs are not expansions like the others, they just have new objects and clothes. There are also Sims2Holiday Editions which include The Sims2 game and a Holiday Stuff Pack, or you can buy a Holiday Stuff Pack separately if you already own The Sims2

the sims is totally awesome!!! u have a sim and u controll him or her. u can interact with other sims and u can do cool stuff like have jobs.... to be honest, the Sims 2 is a lot better (when it comes to grafics and things ur sim can do)
