I recently got a Digitech Whammy Pedal, and I think there's a problem with the actual pedal itself (the part that you lower and raise with your foot.. not sure what it's called). When I first got it, it souunded perfect, but now, I have to press all the way down on the pedal for it to work. For example, with the octave effects. As soon as I started to lower the pedal, right away I heard a change in pitch, but now I have to press it all the way down for any change at all. I know it's kind of hard to explain, but can anyone help me?

Could be the power source as well. If you are using batteries, change them. If you are using an AC adapter, check it to make sure it's on the correct settings for that pedal. I have seen guys using a universal AC adapter and if it isn't on the correct settings, does weird stuff to the sound of the pedal.

Check one of the knob settings, there must be an "increment" type control for setting the actual rate or something, maybe theres nothing wrong with the "treadle" part of the pedal, maybe you accidently moved a knob setting.
