This refers to the number of cells that the battery has. Usually it has 6,8,9, or 12 cells. The extended batteries have more cells, which means that they power the laptop longer. Extended batteries stay charged longer than standard batteries. If you are traveling go with the 12 cell battery, but if you are going to stay at home or the office, and want to save money you can go with a battery with fewer cells (standard). How long they will last depends on what you are running, and if you have any externals plugged in, so it would be hard to say how long it will last, that depends on what you are doing.

The extended battery which is large in size will disfirgue the cell phone. Extended battery means more capacity, but it also means more money and more risks. In fact, the risk of accidents usually results from the inferior batteries produced by illegal manufacturers. If the production technology and materials are good, how can extended batteries become bombs? Don’t you think so?
I think that you can buy a standard battery if you don’t need much battery power. Stock battery can fit the cell phone well, so that you needn’t pay for the added capacity and the additional battery door. It is more economical for you than buying an extended battery. If your cell phone is often thirsty for more juice, you’d better buy an extended battery because it can allow your cell phone to run longer. As well, it can remove the stress you feel when you forget your charger or power bank.
