Hi my son is 13 weeks old and is vomiting his formula up. He has no other signs of illness. Any ideas what i can do to give him nutrition till he goes to doctor in morning.

Its actual vomit. It started out 2 - 3 hours after feedings and now if he has any formula he vomits.

It may be reflux... My two sons had reflux. Or the baby could have a sensitivity to milk based formula. For reflux... I used Enfamil A.R. which is a thicker formula. My 3 month old now will still spit-up 2-3 hours after a feeding.

It could also be the formula you are using. My daughter couldn't have certain types of formula or she would be sick so we switched her to various ones and ended up using Enfalac with Iron and she was great on it. See what your doctor says about it first though in case there is something else going on. Good luck I hope he is feeling better

Is it just spit up or is it Projectile vomit. If its just spit up then make sure you burp him after each feeding, hold him at a 45 degree angle when feeding and dont bounce him around for 20 minutes after feeding. If its projectile, then id call a doctor ASAP or get him to an emercency room.

It might be the formula or it might be the bottles you are using. Trying using a stage 1 nipple and see if this helps. You may also try not shaking the bottle, but stiring the formula instead.

just give the baby boiled water thats really all you can give baby just give baby 1oz of boiled water and gently rub tummy proberly trapped wind makin baby sicky nothing to worry about

switch him to soy formula
