You must use the "itunes" software from apple to upload music to your iPod. The new iPods do not come with a disc and this software is located at apple.com. Use the software to select your music as well as download music from their "itunes store" directly to your iPod.

The iPod should have come with iTunes software. Install the iTunes software and put your songs onto iTunes (they need to be in mp3 format first.) Once that's done, plug the USB cord into the computer and then the iPod. The music should load.

Plug your ipod into your computer's USB port with the cord that came with the Ipod, then if you have Itunes, the songs will automatically go on. If you don't have Itunes, you need to get it and put your songs on there.

You have to have your iPod formatted for your OS. (XP or OS X)
Install iTunes that came with you iPod and have all your MP3s loaded into it. (drag all your files into iTunes)
once they are in iTunes, it should autosync whenever you connect your iPod. Otherwise, click on the ipod icon in itunes and select the sync option.

you download iTunes and it should automatically fill up your library with songs if you have any on your computer, then you connect your iPod with the USB cable and it should explain it from there.
