I think it's a lack of talent in the parliamentary labour party.

Compare Blair's cabinet with the substantial minds in David Cameron's Tory shadow cabinet. It's no wonder Tony Blair devises policy after consulting his unelected close circle of advisors and spin doctors.

Ak23566, What a superb answer.
I used to be a fervent, lifelong Labour party supporter, not any more.
This bunch of spivs under Blair have put the Tories sleaze in the shade.
Integrity, a word that Prescott would have difficulty saying let alone understanding is a concept beyond this bloody shower.
The sooner we are rid of these political slugs and thugs the better.

Power eventually leads to the loss of integrity. Governments become obsessed with staying in power come-what-may. The length of time they remain in government overrides all else. All parties are the same. TB was accused of turning 'New' Labour into Conservatives in order to get elected in '97, now Cameron is being accused of turning the Conservatives into New Labour to win the next.

Seriously Lome what planet do you come from, New Labour are the Pitts and Tony Blair should be rotting inside of a prison for the war crimes he is responsible for committing. You say 'British Labour' but all those running our country were communist before joining New Labour but to separate their ideals to pursue a near communist agenda the name has been changed New labour.
All those who voted for New Labour have been duped.

No! I always thought that I would forever vote labour and everybody else in my county for that matter, what with all the coal mining history here. But we all ended up voting for an independant because they decided in their great wisdom we should only have women to chose from! to bring about some equality, not who happened to be the best candidate for the job! Peter Law got in God bless him, rip. They always thought that Blaenau Gwent would always be labour and they were wrong. Now Blair is just Bush' side kick worra phacking loser! lol...now I'll calm down = )

No, they have no integrity but just wish to keep power and status and ride the gravy train.
Honesty and decency doesn't come into the equation, as long as they can milk the taxpayer down to the last penny and freeload as much as they can get away with.
They are a bunch of charlatans.

As much as (if not more than) the Tories! Surely your question should be: 'Do ANY of our MP's have any integrity?'

And what of the people really 'working' the MP's, ever consider them?

Do you think they care about what YOU want?

Do you think it makes a difference which party is in power?

Do you think that it is the Government that we all see that is running the Country?

Labour or Conservative they are both run by Yuppies of rich parents who went to 'Public,Fee Paying Schools' and moved on to 'Camford Universities' before becoming politicians.
No wonder they have no idea how real people live!
