Usually a wife is a grown woman. That has a mind of her own, if she don't agree with something you say (just because you married her), that don't give you a right to discipline or punish her, (who died and made you her master?). If husband and wife can't get alone that what divorce is for.

I take this tone because usually to men discipline and punishment means hitting or beating the woman, she's your wife not your property.

I hope no man was silly enough to answer this question. Women are not children that they should be disciplined by a man. The same goes for women to men. Children receive discipline and punishment from adults.

Not a man, but I did take a bull whip to my ex husband for lying to me, cleaning out my savings account that he had never put a penny into, and infidelity. Three lashes, one for each lie. It was his idea and the punishment he chose. I forgave him and believed him when he said he would not betray my trust again. When he cheated again, I divorced him for fear that he would ask me to do something even more drastic. He has scars that taught him nothing. Just leave her...you'll both be better off in the long run.

You should have posted this in the mental health section since it is clear your suffering from some sort of issue. Tell me when did people be it man or woman become property of another when they became married.? When you marry someone it is because you love , protect and respect them. Slavery is illegal at least in this country. By the way just in case you haven't gotten it yet marriage is a working partnership of two free wills when you start to oppress then it turns into abuse.

It really kind of makes me sick to see this question... wondering if you are for real. I don't like to judge generally. But please, discipline the poor woman by taking yourself out of her life... oh sorry, that's more like ... a reward, isn't it?

I imagine you're something of a BDSM junkie. There are plenty of forums dedicated to that topic; asking such a question in relatively mainstream Yahoo! Answers isn't going to get you any real answers.
