Most amps have headphone outputs. If you practice without an amp at all, you can't really hear the guitar and it is not effective. Using an amp with headphones is virtually silent. Go with that.

Close the door and practice under a thick blanket without the amp

Keep the amp very low, and with the door still closed, put a thick blanket over the amp.

lol...there is something called a practice amp. There is even something called a mini practice amp, mini so that you can move out of people's way and you do not need to use electricity.

Buy headphones or instead of an electric get an acoustic. Its a lot more portable

Don't plug the amp in, keep it turned way down or get head phones for your amp.

Lots of people just use headphone while they practice. It makes it a little easier on you too

You can practice on it without using the amplifier.

Just plug it in your amp :P , use palm mute.
