You can spend time with other friends. If they are all going out then make it a special occasion for the two of you, last one alone! Maybe put on some nice music, have his favorite snacks and some sparkling wine for you and maybe something else for him, not too much though. then maybe watch a great movie or just spend time together. Ask him what he thinks you should do. Having fun is not just a go out to the club thing, you can have fun at home. Happy New Year and Baby.

Who is giving the respondents a hard time for suggesting it is still ok to go out? Ofcourse you can still go out. Clubs might not be a great idea, but alot of restaurants etc do new years parties, or you could have some freinds over and have a small gathering at home. Failing that, you could do what I did. I was pregnant with my first, New Years 1999, and was in bed by 10pm!!!

Im 40wks pregnant as well and know how you feel. I could drop at any time, but i cant expect him to come out before NYE. Ive been booked in for an induction next Saturday. In the meantime i just plan to spend New Year with my family and friends at a small get together. Probably just eat stacks of sweets, watch the local fireworks and give stacks of hugs at midnight. :o)

Congrats on bub and Happy New Year!

Perhaps you could go out to dinner at a nice restaurant and enjoy each others company. After dinner you could take a walk somewhere like a park, or around the city, perhaps there could be some fireworks you can watch. Or you could invite friends over to your place for a BBQ or something so you are not alone at home.

You can still go out - just go to dinner or a friend home to celebrate. Being pregnant doesn't mean you stop living for 9 months sweetie.

Just don't drink anything alcoholic and be safe.

You can go out. Aren't there any parties, aren't the local "haunts" having special events that night? Are you aware that you can go to a club and NOT drink alcoholic beverages? You can take in all of the fun and festivities and remain sober, just order "virgin" drinks, or soda. I know that around here a lot of the clubs even stock bottled water for patrons who prefer to drink only water.

Rent 'When Harry Met Sally' because it ends with them meeting at a New Year's Party and that way you don't have to leave the comfort of your own living room.
