i want to store files like word files and pictures etc... like making a backup... somewhere onthe net... so i can access the from any computer.

Pretty easy. If you want them so only you can access them then save them into email(s) and then send them to yourself. Then save them into folders in your email. Just access your email from any other computer and there they are.
If you want the public to be able to view some files (family pics) then setup yahoo 360 and save them on there.
Easy as that.

I have sent files as an e-mail to a back up e-mail address. you should be able to store them there depending on the e-mail provider

get a g-mail (google mail) e-mail account and you can store an unlimited amount of e-mails, there is no memory capacity. plus its a really good e-mail server in general
