the house murders the owners and then seems to repair itself. I have been looking for this movie for about 6 months. I dont remember the stars of the film. But I do remember at the end the film new renters were coming to move in and the house was repainted and totally repaired. the previous owners had all been killed.

Hmmm...there was a movie in the early 80's called "House"...the tagline was "Ding-dong your dead" with a skeleton hand ringing the doorbell on the cover of the movie...
