Just give it time you will feel it. It may not feel like butterflies though. Mine felt more like gas but as they got stronger I realized it was my baby.

More than likely if this is your first pregnancy, then it will take until the fetus is about 20 weeks old, that's when his or her bones are tough and you can feel the strength behind the punch. Also, the skinnier you are the sooner you can feel it. If you are really under weight you could probably feel it around now.

I think it's too early for you to be feeling much. I didn't feel any movements until 18 weeks. My midwife told me that19-20 weeks is the norm. Lying down might work once you are already feeling your baby move, but lying down isn't going to make you feel movements if it's too early.

It will happen when you least expect it. Try not to focus on it so much, otherwise your more likely to mistake normal body functions as movement. Before too long you'll be being kicked hard or have a heel under your rib, etc. Then you will be wishing your body was back to being your own.

It might be a wee bit early yet. It's usually about 5 months before you feel anything if it's your first. Usually it's like bubbles in your tummy. Tickle your tummy, that used to work with me.
