I have blondish/brownish hair and brown eyes, and I don't know what color eyeshadows/eyeliner to use? Any ideas?

For brown eyes, use green, gold, and especially purple, blue, and grey eyeshadow

Use black or brown eyeliner.

Things to Consider...

the shade of your eyes. (This will effect how the colors work for you.)
the tools that you use to apply the shadow
how much shadow you use (the more layers, the more intense the color)
the shape of your eyes
your age group
Brows: Touch up if necessary. Fill in bare spots with shadow or pencil. Be sure to brush brows to soften color.

Highlighter: (optional)

Lid Shadow: Brush two shades of brown onto lid. Work a little mauve-brown around the corner.

Crease: A little of the brown that was used on the lid should be worked into the crease.

Liner: Cocoa (Pencils are the easiest to use, but shadows can be used as well.)

Mascara: Black (Brown eyes seem to need deep lush colors.)

**Take a little eye makeup remover and smudge the shadows for a softer look.

I would wear gold and brown tones for the eyeshadow and black mascara and eyeliner. If you want to get colorful without going over the top, you can use a bright color on the lower lid just below the lashes. Bright colors like teal, purple, or pink. Dont go overboard with black eyeliner, it can get messy when it smears, plus you just need to put it on the lower lid. And, if you use a white or pearl color just blow the eyebrow it makes your eyes bigger and it completes the whole look. :)

Pinks, browns, and blues. Greens can be dangerous, especially if you have yellow undertones. I have the same complexion, and I love to use a mauve right on the upper lid, and then a faint pink right under the brow bone. For eyeliner, Origins Smoke is a good color. Hope this helps!

The silver advice is odd unless you use it as a highlighter. I was a celebrity makeup artist for several years and I don't know that I'd recommend silver for you. But of course, I can't see your skin tone, which plays a big part in the colors you choose. My best advice is for you to get a fashion magazine like Vogue and find a model who looks similar to you - skin tone, eye color and hair color and look at the colors the pro makeup artist applied. Of course, don't pick a wacky picture with red paint on the girl's face. Choose something you'd actually wear in real life. Then practice with those colors in the mirror until you find something you really like. Another alternative is to go to a makeup counter with real makeup artists (not just sales associates like at other counters)- like Bobbi Brown or MAC and ask them to create a look for you.

L'oreal makes sets of makeup that accomodate all eye colors. It comes with eyeliner and eyeshadow. I think the one for brown eyes comes with pinkish colored and brownish eyeshadows with brown eyeliner.

Im pretty sure you can pull off any colour, just remember never to apply too much of one colour. For casual wear and daily wear use a nice pinkish colour. Try a mauve colored shadow, rosy cheeks, and slick pink gloss. For a date try black smokey eyes and red/plum lipstick. If you dont dig th bold colours, bring out the bronze! It'd look really good with your hair colour and your brown eyes. Try a bronze or dark brown charcoal eyeliner and line your eyes all around. Dust some dusty glimmery powder and thats all you need.

Try Revlon, Clinique, and Lancome.

if you are looking for a basic color of eyeshadow to wear blues and plum purples look good on people with brown eyes and maybe some liquid eyeliner on top.

if all else fails just go with a smokey eye

Use black eyeliner to make people to focus on your eyes and for your eyeshadow you could use very light purple, white or baby blue don't use any dark colours because that will clash with your eyes.
Or just go with whatever you are wearing for eg. Pink top, pink eyeshadow, blue top, blue eyeshadow.
