I've never heard of Porch Monkey...and I'm black. Is that wierd? Where did that phrase originally come from? What does it really mean?

Don't be mad at me for saying so, because I'm not racist (I am Hispanic and there are black people in my family), but its just a racist slur for a black guy that sits around on porches waiting for the sun to go down so that they can go and steal stuff. Which is a stupid thing for anyone to have made up anyway, because obviously black people aren't the only people in the world that commit crimes! No, it isn't weird that you never heard of it, it is probably a good thing that you never heard it before because maybe that could possibly mean that racism is dying down a little bit. It would be nice, but unfortunately it is almost the year 2007 and the world still has a long way to go concerning racism.
