Why does America have soooo many problems, yet we do nothing about them?

All we do is harp about all the problems, yet we create more by spending more money on the war. People are always telling other people to make a difference, when they could do it themselves. Why can't we stop this war and face the problems before us? Not just face them, but actually do somthing about them.

I recently asked a question of Christians as to why they don't do something about negative Christianity when they see it. The majority of answers I got said that they do do something about it--they pray. Since most of this country is Christian, I would say that nothing gets done because most people are safe inside their homes, praying that they will never have to face what the people they are praying for are facing.

the imperfect human race" Most due in one way or another and many more simply just percieve it in an ill function of their perceptions or brains or sickness.There are are leaders to
a point .But everyone has been trained to follow.also.The point

I think it has to be taken one step at a time and we may not know it but things are changing. I agree that there are sooo many problems but a lot have been taken care of as well. It can't be done over night! I don't think we should try to be responsible for the whole world anymore but should concentrate on taking care of our own. The first step as far as I am concerned is getting the heck out of Iraq! That first means finding a viable alternative for our oil consumption. I also think, like I mentioned, that we need to start saying NO to other countries particulalry when they don't like us anyway!

We are trying to do something. We are in Iraq trying to bring calm to the region and get some good people in office so they can run the country in a democratic way. You can't just say you want to do something and it happens. You have to fight for it and find all the ways around to get the job done. There are many obstacles out there. Things just aren't done overnight. It takes a lot of time and mistakes before we find a way to get things right.

well, one of the bigger problems is a 5 year oil reserve. so now you know why the war is on. The only major problem in America is the poor and they have been molested by governments since the begining of time.

it's sad but if they can't make money helping people then they won't The world revolves around greed and we see it when we try to help with donations. 83% goes to the administration and 17% goes to the needy. Governments are having farmers destroy crops because they are afraid it floods the market. Why not send it to the needy?As long as greed rules the poor will get poorer and the rich will get richer

We don't want to take responsiblity for the issues. We complain, hoping for a Cinderella style ending and yet fail to realize this is reality. If we admit that we are responsible for the problems, it's like admitting we are wrong, and heaven forbid we should do that. Pride is more important.

As a Non-American, I ask you what should we do: Invade America?
Sometimes it seems like the logic solution, but I am sure that the Americans (at least the tiny majority who voted for the actual Clown at the White House) wouldn’t understand what we are trying to tell them.

America is full of people. People tend to be problematic. My question to you is: What are you doing to solve the problems?
