A little young but Congratulations anyway. The weight is o.k,if the doctors didn't think so he would not have let your son come home right away, that is why your daughter is still there.I wish you all the happiness and strength and patience you will need to raise twins. I hope your daughter can come home to you soon. Congratulations again MAMA!!

is this ? legit? to have a 4 1/2 pound twin at 7 months being only 15 years old is actually a pretty big baby. a friend of mine had a preemie at 33 wks and he weighed 4 1/2 pounds and he was bigger for a singleton. 2nd 15, c-section, preemie, and being home don't make too much sense. 3rd if you did have a baby why are you sitting on the computer asking ?s instead of the Dr or your mom if it is a big concern? get a life and grow up. 4th if you did have twins, someone needs to teach you more about sex ed, because a 15 year old cant take care of herself let alone two babies.

Congrats on the babies. Most twins are between 3 and 5 pounds. They dont need to weigh the same. Yes one can be thinner then the other and still be healthy. Its gonna be expensive but just remember u dont need 2 of everything for the babies.

Hello,

Congrats on your precious twin babies. They are a blessing from God.

I have twin girls. They were born at 32 weeks last November. I too had a C-section and it took me 6 months to fully recover.

Baby "A" weighed 3lbs8oz and Baby "B" weighed 3lbs13oz. They were in the NICU for two weeks and then came home right before Thanksgiving.

My twins had to be at least 4.5 lbs before they were able to come home and be able to bottle feed.

I do not think one baby weighing less than the other matters at this point. Just as long as your baby girl is gaining weight now in the NICU so she can come home. And, she has to be free from jaundice.

Hope this helps you................. : - O

It's perfectly normal for one twin to be larger than the other. Your age has little to do with it - so long as you had good prenatal care during the pregnancy.

Twins run smaller and often are delivered via C-section so that there is no risk of one or both getting stuck in the birth canal.

Try and spend as much time with both children as possible - and please, for your own sake, make sure to do whatever you need to finish your own education so you can provide a bright future for these little ones.

They need you more than you probably ever imagined.

Good luck.

Both your infants are very small, but if the doctor allowed your son to go home with you then I would assume he's healthy, even for his size. I was 24 when I gave birth to my son who weighed 6 lbs 12 oz, and I'm also married, so I can't even begin to imagine the difficult journey you have ahead of yourself being a young teen with two children to support.

Seek help from your family around you, and don't be afraid to ask your doctor questions that you have. Parenthood is very difficult, and you're going to need the extra assistance because of your young age.

Good luck to you.

Not all babies have the same birth weight. Twins usually have different weights when they are born. The most important thing is that they continue to grow and gain weight at a steady rate after they are born.

Congrats!! I was 16 when pregnant with my lil girl. Im now 19 and have a 2yr old toddler. Try not too worry. I wish you and your lil ones the best. There is always alot of pain when you have a C-section around your stomach area. Take it easy.
