Oh, elementary school memories. Yes we had to do that. My gym teacher and music teacher was involved with this. I loved it because I love to dance. I remember we had to do The Hokey Pokey as one of the square dances. To end square dancing week in elementary school we had the farther daughter square dance. Wow, Memories.

yes!! we did it for "Go Texan Day"(if your not from here you have no idea what im talking about) in fourth grade. i thought it was fun until the guy i was dancing with stomped on my foot and split my big toenail all the way down to the cuticle. Needless to say i didnt like country music or dancing before that day so i definately wasnt a fan afterwards.

In elementary school we had folk-dancing every so often and I hated it!! I'd get all nervous and nobody wanted to hold my hands because they perspired so much that they dripped!
It was horrible! I won't ever forget those embarrassing days!!

Yeah, I go to highschool now and in elementary school, it was the worst part of school, worse than the whole gym class if it could get any worse, but in highschool, now it's quite fun, sometimes it feels gross, but it's actually quite fun!

Yes, they made us square dance, and I found it mildly tolerable. It would have been more fun to learn something like east coast swing.

yes,i even took it for gymn in college! i cant say i REALLY liked it,but it beat playing actual sports,doing excercises or running,so the dancing was a good thing for me.the best gymn class i ever had was also in college-horseback riding.

we had to in 4th grade. i am now almost 27 years old and i remember HATING it. not only did we do it during class but we had a recital in my public school - the whole school and parents had to watch us - so embarassing.
