I was a celebrity makeup artist in New York City for many years and trust me, black eye liner (done correctly) works on everyone. If you've not worn it before, start out soft. Close your left eye and use your right hand to pull the skin over your right eye taut. Start on the outside of your upper eyelid and create a very thin line inside the lash line. If you can't get it straight, then put dots of black inside the lash line until you have a line. You can line the bottom for drama or just the top for definition. If you use a thin liner brush overtop of the liner, the line will look more professional. Hope this helps.

It depends on your skin tone.
Like, if you go to the makeup counter in the mall, they'll tell you what color eyeliner would look best.
If you have cocoa skin, black may be just right for you.
But if your skin is like honey or something, brown is best.

Yes, but only keep to the eyes and keep it subtle. Black lips look scary on anyone.

Black looks good on Af-am skin but a dark brown really brings out brown eyes. It sounds counterintuitive but it works.

darker skined people can pull off any colours. black eyeliner, black eye shadow for the smokey look just try mess about with lot of colours and see what looks good

yes i think black eyeliner and mascara looks fine on african american skin but like any makeup just apply it right ... you can always go to a makeup counter and tell them what look youd like to try ... and if you dont like ... opt for another look.

eyeliner? yes. A friend of mine from school is african american and she wears the black eyeliner. I think it looks great.
