Back in the day, women worked in the fields until they started labor. These days, non-pregnant women and men are expected to exalt pregnant women and spoil them rotten. Why? It's a simple mammalian function. If animals in the wild employed such mindsets, they would starve.

LOL!! Sure "cutie" I've been pregnant 4 times. 2 of them made it, 2 of them passed away. So yeah, I've been pregnant, just was never helplessly so. Any more questions dear?

they are spoiled, lazy like most Americans, myself included. They need to be grateful, put on their big girl panties and deal with it. Wait until the child arrives then what...oh! start looking for a nanny.

I can agree with you somewhat. There are a lot of women that act helpless during pregnancy and expect way to much pampering, however, some consideration should be taken to the fact that there are some limitations and that even the woman squatting in the field had limitations and some had difficult pregnancies in which family and friends helped her.

I'm pregnant, work full time, have 9 year old and 18mo kids, etc etc.
I like that my boyfriend (or anyone else) does nice things for me all the time but I'd like it even if I wasnt pregnant. Most pregnant women dont expect to be spoiled by society. You sound like you've meant one of the very few who do. Most pregnant women hate that they cant do certain things later in pregnancy... you'll often find them doing things they arent suppose to be doing like rearranging heavy furniture etc.

I worked through my whole pregnancy with my son and the only reason I didn't with my daughter was the Doctor wouldn't let me and I was put on bed rest due to complications. A large number of pregnant women I know work...where did you get your thoughts that we exalt and spoil them?

I worked while I was pregnant till my doctor put me on bed rest. I never got special treatment not even at work. i worked with mostly men and they could of cared less.

I agree with you!!!!!!!! Im currently pregnant and have a 2 year old and i never understood women who need everything done for them.

do you got kids? then quit talking. how would yo like to gain 60 lbs and feel like you have an alien living inside you, feeding off of you? its scary, uncomfortable and besides, its the ONLY time when women can actually get guys to do stuff for them.
