I'm a high school coach, and I'm thinking of running a camp this summer. How much would insurance run? We'd do 5 hours, one week straight.

I wonder if you can do it without needing your own insurance by making it a USA Hockey (or Hockey Canada) recognized camp, so all the kids have to be members of the organization (which has its own insurance).

I have no real clue, I was just throwing the idea out there.

it doesn't cost you a dime. i've run a couple of camps, make it a sanctioned camp and usa hockey will give you a figure (less than 400), you add it to the cost of the camp.
