Hold Menu (top of the click wheel) and the Select (middle button on the click wheel) at the same time for about 10 seconds. This will reset your Ipod. If that doesn't work, call Apple support.

Your ipod may be on hold. Check the top if the HOLD button is on. iF its not on, contact the place where you got your ipod. By either the internet, phone, or in person. Ask them if they can replace it with a new ipod if you still have your receipt. Or ask places like Best Buy, Circuit City, or Target if they can fix your ipod. Good Luck!

It could be that it just needs reset. This has happened to me a couple of times and I went to the apple website for help. To reset just try the following:

Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

If this doesn't work for you then try visiting the site for help,

http://www.apple.com/uk/support/ipod/five_rs/

Good luck.

You need to plug in your iPod into your computer... Then open iTunes... On the main page (Where it tells you about your iPod), click RESET...

What it does is it resets its main OS and stuff... In English, it wips everthing on the iPod and make the system brand new again... However, don't do it TOO much... Sometimes, the reset can go very bad... But that's only if you reset your iPod everyday...

contact, then do what they tell you to do, then if that's doesn't work (if its still under warranty) send it back. if not, sell it on eBay

PS if you send it back, don't leave any accessories with it because they will not replace them. i.e belt clip and/or headphones
