Depends on what you are going to do, Macs are preferred by graphic artists. If you just want to browse the net and play games, then a PC laptop would work out cheaper, plus there is a load more software available for the PC.

It really depends if you prefer Windows, Linux or Mac Operating System. Then your usage (for graphics, web browsing, corporate, etc). A notebook is what we called a personal IT device which more or less should be configured to your own preference. I do not want to compare Mac from PC because I will get flak from Apple fanatics. But just to inform you Apple notebooks can accomodate both Microsoft, Linux & Apple OS. They are all good. I think the best suggestion is to ask your friends who have portables and know what are their problems and good points. That will more or less give you a user's point-of-view. Then make your own decision. The choice is yours. Good luck!

Get the Macbook for the simple reason that it will run windows and MacOS. You have TWO computers in one+ the fab Core2Duo processor. Cake+icing!

GET A MAC. They offer creativity and stability, while still providing the correct software so you can work when you need to.
