no she did that thing where she gave everyone in the audience a thousand dollars but they had to spend it on someone else. One woman turned that thousand into over 70 thousand for a family that really needed it.

I just started watching Oprah a few weeks again...off and on, and I haven't seen it. She did give out a bunch of stuff from the "Red" episode. All the purchases she did make that day, a certain percentage went towards helping find a cure for AIDS.
She did make a huge contribution (and definitely advertised it) on her show to the children of south Africa. She held 3 huge x-mas parties for the children and gave them a ton of stuff from shoes/clothes to toys and food for a month. Hey, if she's got the wealth, why shouldn't she show the world she is making a contribution to those in need. I admire her for showing that off instead of parading downtown hollywood and spending money on garbage. How do you think she got so wealthy? She is blessed because of her giving character.

I don't watch her anymore but I think I heard that she did. I know one of the shows is usually in May. I babysit my three granddaughters and unless I time the younger two's naps right I am stuck with Disney or Nick. I don't mind really. I am into Rachael Ray's talk show because my nephew's girl friend is on there once in awhile doing crafts. SHE says RR is one heckuva NICE person!!!
