My quarrel is not with Creationists, my quarrel is with with irrationality, wishful thinking, superstitions, intellectual dishonesty, and all other forms of thinking that keep mankind mired in darkness, ignorance and hate.

Met - Someone asked this same question in R&S today only atheists and Christian. It is a huge generalization, in fact more than one, that keeps this question alive.

1. All "Creationists" do not hate all atheists and vice versa. I have had atheist friends, friends in a faith crisis, agnostic friends, Pagan friends, Wiccan friends, etc., etc. and we do now and always have loved each other dearly. This is not to say we do not have spirited debates or ask each other questions...but certainly hate has never been there between us. Do not judge "all" by the immature reactions of a few.

2. ALL Christians are not "Creationists". I, and most of my peer group, believe in evolution and even "big bangs" as very likely possibilities for the beginnings of earth. We may see it as a design by a great geneticist or prefer to see the story of creation as a symbolic story passed down through the years.

3. ALL Christians do not preach and try to convert. All atheists do not wish to hurt or put down Christians or Creationists.

4. These forums, for all we have to put up with (both groups) with trolls, fantatics, doom sayers, etc. are an open and free communication going on between people of all beliefs and that cannot be bad. We are representing one of the greatest things about this country (United States) and that is the freedom to express our feelings freely and without fear.

5. Personally, I do fully understand that atheists and other groups have difficulty grasping the concept of faith and to them it may look as though we are ignoring fact. Some do, but not all do.

Likewise, I wish I had the words to explain the power of faith and the joy of belief, against all odds, to share with all others in a way that is not taken as a personal affront.

What I would like to see is an atmosphere of tolerance and understanding so that an honest, intellectual communication could thrive.

There is no metaphysical equality between atheists and creationists. The atheists are right, and the creationists are wrong.

Not only that, the atheists are the ones who really do have a sound system for estimating truth: the scientific method. The creationists are dogmatists who like to disguise their dogma with jargon, to make a bogus pretense that science is what they are doing.

The creationists' claim that the atheists begin with evolution and work up reason to believe in it is pure hypocrisy, since the creationists, not the atheists, are the ones doing that sort of thing: starting with religious dogma and finding ways to induce belief in it.

I can well imagine that the atheists have resounding contempt for creationists, and, furthermore, that it shows. The creationists deserve that contempt for the deceptions they have practiced. I'd ask that no one speak as if there were parity between atheists and creationists, neither in good intentions nor in good science. There is none.

The question you have posed is rather presumptuous. It presupposes that atheists and creationists hate each other, and that atheists and creationists attempt to hide this hatred. However, you have given no evidence or examples of this supposed hatred, and you have pitted creationists and atheists against each other when in fact both religious and nonreligious people accept the scientific theory of evolution.

Anyway, to answer this presumptuous question, intelligent people don't solve problems with violence. They solve problems with thoughtful, nonviolent communication.

Hate for someone who holds an opposing view can only exist if one does not fully believe in his or her own doctrine. I would not get angry with a person who held the belief that water was not wet. I know that water is wet. If someone chooses to be blind that is their problem, not mine. The only reason why I would become angry with someone who opposed my beliefs is if they in fact challenged my beliefs and I was at risk of losing my own beliefs. Atheists do not like those who believe in God because atheists do not have an answer for what started everything. Atheists fear God because God’s existence makes more sense than they want to admit, it challenges their beliefs. People who say they believe in God hate atheists because atheists offer compelling truths about such things as evolution; this challenges the God believers’ faith. No one gets mad when their faith is unshakable; it is only when they fear their faith may crumble under the pressure of those who oppose. The best analogy I can think of is this. A gay person will not offend a man who is secure in his sexuality; it is only those who have doubts in their sexuality who get nervous around gay people. Now here is my opinion. Atheist and God believers need to stop fighting and join each other because they are both right in many ways.

I as a believer do not hate a man for his opinion. But if a mans opinion becomes an action and restricts my belief as a follower of God then I am duty bound by God to defend that faith.
(Psa 82:3) Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. NOTE: Afflicted
Many rights that were set up by the forefathers of this nation base on God's Wise Scriptures are being slowly taken away all in the name of security or of nonbelievers because they do not fit the individual need at the time. A true believer is not at liberty to return evil for evil or wickedness for wickedness. Yet we are all human and at times that gets in the way.
(Rom 12:17) Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
(1Th 5:15) See that none render evil for evil unto any [man]; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all [men].
(1Pe 3:9) Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
For even science today is beginning to understand that indeed there is some higher power because of the evidences that is newly being discovered over turning many older scientific beliefs such as Darwin's Theory (which is only a theory and never was a law or even proven for that matter.) Again, A true Christian has no authority to judge a man for by what he judges a man of he also will be judge the same.
(Mat 7:2) For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
One should not even judge one's self.
(1Cr 4:3) But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
So again if a man say evil against you judge him not nor return evil he has done against you but rather bless him and let the Lord sort it out. However, if a man is caused harm and he is innocent of his accuser then defend him by all right of God for God is a Just God and he does so hate injustice.

this is likely one in each and every of the dumbest rationalisations that fundies arise with for the life of atheism. it incredibly is in simple terms like asserting somebody thinks autos won't hit them in the event that they close their eyes whilst they go the line. you could lack the psychological faculties to work out the innate loss of questioning positioned into your question, yet i do no longer. i'm an atheists with the aid of fact i've got not got self assurance on your god or any of the different gods. i discover the finished theory of gods as primitive and absurd. yet i'm vivid adequate to understand that if on the unbelievable off possibility the anthropomorphic monstrosity you have created for a god exists i'll ought to pay the fee. and albeit, i think of eternal torture could be perfect than an eternity of brown nosing on your egotistical monster.

No real Christians will hate anybody including those who persecute them. Anybody who is angry and have the feeling of hatred towards atheists is not a Christian at all! Christ teaches His followers to love even the enemies who persecute us. I have never felt persecuted by the atheists.

To believe in creation of the world by God also means to be a Christian and a true Christian does not hate anyone. I wish you had finished your sentence then your question could be answered more specifically.

Atheists are not hateful, but it is hard not to be contemptuous of people who refuse to use their reason and cling to ancient fairy tales rather than accept centuries of careful scientific thought, study and exploration.
