Everyone loves us. They're always cheering us on with loving chants like 'Death to America' and 'Die you american scum.'

See how hard it is. Being the only super power in the world, being the most technologically advanced country in the world, being the richest country in the world, has become so poor as to find it hard to name some friends. Double standards and high-handednes in world affairs - I hope US will learn to live the life it preaches.

True friends? I'm not sure there are any. Most of the coalition of the willing are in debt to us in some way.

As for Great Britain, I don't think they are. I think the CIA and Bush have something really big on Tony Blair.

Israel, I think, does our bidding, and not the other way around. I think the citizens of Israel resent us and the more heavy-handed moves of their own government.

There is a saying that "politics makes strange bedfellows."
The same goes in international affairs.

I am sure the US has many friends based on common political grounds, free trade agreements, commercial investments and defense treaties. There are many nations who NEED us more than we need them, some are leeches who illegally breach our borders. I won't mention any nation, but it starts with an "M". As for Canada, if you don't like the US don't spend your summer vacations in Florida so you can thaw out from your frigid weather and generally chilly personalities. The best thing you have given us other than your beer is ice hockey. South Korea, Japan & Russia: I am sure we would bail them out if they were attacked by a foreign power. They would call the red phone in the Oval Office any time they needed a handout or soldiers to hold back offensive threats from kooks like Kim Jung Il of North Korea. Most of Europe still remembers the sting of WWII and how we sacrificed hundreds of thousands of our own to free them from Hitler. If not, they'd be speaking German. Taiwan, which was formed as an alternative to the dictatorship of Mao tse-tung, is definitely our ally. We have a few that we have mild disagreements with such as France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, etc., but as in a relationship, you will always find differing opinions.

If you don't think they are our friends, you are blind. Who would foreign nations, even Muslim nations, turn to if a disaster strikes? Who turns to us when a tsunami hits? Who turns to us when a terrorist attack takes place? Who is the most giving, charitable nation on the face of the earth? Who is willing to sacrifice lives and blood to free nations?

There are also some Arab states who even want us to remain in Iraq, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan. Their leadership shivers thinking of the day when we will pull our troops out of Iraq because their governments will fall to Islamic fundamental extremists who want to live in the 7th century. People need to stop being so opinionated and read more into the facts and realities of this world. We are here to stay. You are either for us or against us. If you hate us, hang up the phone next time a natural disaster strikes your shores or you allow a dictatorship take away your rights to think, to vote, to worship your God. In that case, just remember don't call us, we'll call you.

"No man is an island" just as a world without the US would be a very much harder place to live for many. No thanks is necessary, you ingrates.

**to the one who gave me a thumbs down, what part of the truth didn't you like or couldn't take?

Every country in the world likes the USA especially
when a earthquake or another natural disaster strikes
them, then they all come running to Uncle SAP with their
hands out begging for our help, maybe it's about time for
the United States to tell the United Nations and the World
to shut up and help themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The USA has no friends, but no other country in the world does either, every country is just looking out for their own selfish interests all of the time.
