There was talk of Dawn Marie suing the WWE for releasing her because she was pregnant. How serious was it and would she have a case if she did?
She never filed a lawsuit, so I can only imagine that her contract had some sort of clause that kept her from having a case. Still, even though she may not have had legal ground to sue, it is ridiculous that WWE let her go when they did.

After giving birth on December 20, 2005, Dawn Marie began training for a return to wrestling. She was briefly scheduled to team with Jackie Gayda to face Traci Brooks and Lollipop in a tag team match on April 26, 2006, but backed out of the match, believing that she would not be in ring-shape in time for the event. In June 2006, Dawn Marie managed Johnny Candido in a match for the National Wrestling Superstars promotion.

Dawn Marie is not in OVW. Whoever said that is a liar. Dawn Marie was pregnant and WWE fired her. She tried to sue them but that did not work. She's unemployed right now. She will never return to WWE programming again.

On December 20, 2005, Psaltis gave birth to her first child, a boy named Matthew. He was born seven days prematurely. In January 2006, she filed a complaint against WWE with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, claiming that her contract had been wrongfully terminated as a result of her pregnancy, and that she had suffered mental duress as a result of the release.

Dawn Marie was injured and is now currently in the OVW, (owned by the WWE) training to come back to the WWE preferably in 2007. Anyway, there are way hotter divas in the OVW to replace her.
