YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I plan on naming my daughter Tristen. I personally won't go for the spelling you suggested because my smart mouthed mom said when I suggested it "oh, that sounds like a tryst - the kind of tryst you have with a married man..." But i still love the name!

Trystin sounds more like a boy's name than a girl's. In fact, with the children I've babysat for, both of the Trystins that I've known of were both boys. I'm not saying its a bad name, just unusual for a girl.

Trystin is pretty....I think with a Y it's definitely more feminine. There are so many name variations now I think soon we won't see much difference in male vs female names. So do what makes you happy!

just seeing the name makes me think male. No matter how you spell it I believe most people will think of a boy. I have a nephew named Tristan and know of another little boy with the name.

The way it's spelled, people are going to mispronounce it all her life. (Tr{eye}-st{eh}n)
I personally think that that name is more for a male than a female, but to each their own and if that's what you want to name your child, I can't stop you.
I'd definitely spell it the traditional way. (Tristen or Tristan - the "a" seems more feminine to me, so maybe go with that.)

Honestly No...People are gonna spell it Tristan all her life and then she'll be mistaken for a boy's name. It's unique, but not cute for a girl.

I find Tristan incredibly masculine, regardless of the spelling.
