Not at all. alot of lesbian feel more comfortable around men because we can communicate better with them. it is the same reason straight men hang around other stright men - whether we look it or not we feel like we're one of the guys.

...friends and acquaintances are a sign of sexuality?...i don't beleive that is the case,...i'm femme les, and my friends and acquaintances are comprised of straight males, gay males, straight females, and yes, lesbians,...imagine that,...lol
...they are my friends because "we" are genuine and honest with each other, not because of our sexual preferences...
...me thinks that you have a alterior motive immbedded in your question?,...me thinks you really like this girl?, and you would like to get to know her alot better?,...well then, be genuine, be open, and be honest with her,...who knows, the two of you may become very close friends, and possibly more?...no matter what happens, at least you made the effort to meet her, right?
...my very best wishes are with you hon, *kiss*

I think her choice of friends is a personal decision. For me most of my friends are female, and I'm a lesbian. As for knowing if she likes you, hang out with her, find out if she likes you as "one of the guys" or as something more. I've always found that my friend's friends end up becoming my own. Even if a romantic relationship doesn't happen, you can always say you gained new friends.

I don't think it has anything to do with anything other than maybe she just feels more comfortable around male friends.
I have a fairly even mix of male and female friends, acquaintences, family etc.
I don't feel threatened by or any special affinity towards males over females or vice versa.

I would much rather have male friends but to narrow it a bit....I'd rather they be gay men. The straight men always tend to develope crushes and think they can change you. That gets annoying. The straight women always worry that you're going to hit on them! I'm very femme and I do not have one bit of attraction to femme girls! So I try to relay this to my straight, femme friends!

sometimes, because i do have friends who hang out with a lot of guys but they are just a bunch of hot@sses and flirt alot. so it depends on the girl considering that i have a lot of guy friends but i have no interest in them as more than friends nd ima lesbian. also another thing is that guys are a lot easier to trust than girls because girls tend to backstab or talk a lot of smack(gossip).

This varies from person to person. It has NOTHING to do with sexuality!
What I mean is this: Some people are just more r-e-l-a-x-e-d around the opposite sex. Maybe there is just "no pressure" to perform or be someone they are not. Or maybe they just feel more comfortable. It doesn't always have something to do with sex : )
