I have heard of programs that you can get that totally block it out but i am not sure where to get them does anybody have any links that I can access to get these such programs.

Using limewire and other similar programs is like having sex: Always use protection!! I would reccommend a good firewall/antivirus program. I use norton internet security 2006. It's really good. SCAN EVERYTHING YOU DOWNLOAD!! VIRUSES ARE EVERYWHERE IN LIMEWIRE. if all you download is music and pics you're pretty much safe... if you're out there downloading programs and keygens you'll get so many viruses it can really mess up your pc. don't mess with limewire unless you have a reallly strong security program in place!!! good luck

Well people get it so that they dont have to buy music programs and such but as long as u watch what you download you will be fine.You need to definately check how big the thing your downloading compared to what it should be.If you try and get a game like half-life 2 or something and it is 153kb(extremely small and out of wack)it is certainly a virus or porn or something else

YOu can run limewire pro but you can get it for free from ARES which is another filesharing program which also has no spyware.
I really hate people who tells me they installed limewire with ads and malware or recommend it to people who I have fixed their pc the other day. Since they be calling me in the middle of the night telling me that their computer is running slow or popping up ad's or the virus scanner just goes crazy... I keep telling them it because of limewire and you keep installing it after I rid it. And also ARES no one has been sued yet on it and people who use limewire has..

Do not down load unwanted programs. Better to be on safeside. You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at

Trading of copyrighted materials is forbidden by federal law and if you contract anything viral it is no ones fault but your own.
If you do find anything that will specifically prevent viral downloads that associates itself with these illegal programs will install more viral content than you could ever download.
So please just don't do it. Buy music/movies/programs/games legally.
If everyone downloaded this and you made these would you want to make another?

it isn't hte virus and spyware that is the problem
the real problem (whihc people don't know)
is that people "use" your computer
once u download a song from a person
they have access to every last file on your computer
they can place watever they want in your computer and take out wat they want too.

That is not true. I had limewire once upon a time and i never did have a problem with it. I never did have a virus on my pc.
