Comic book recommendations?

I have been out of the loop in terms of the comic book world for several years. My favorites use to be Transmetropolitan, Old X-Men (loved Jubilee), JTHM, Danger Girl, Hellblazer, Sandman, Watchmen, Bone, Lenore . I just recently read the NYX/X-23 trade but now I am at a loss for what to pick up next. Any recommendations?

Well judging by what you have up there you like something a bit away from the everyday so my picks are:

1) Nextwave Agents of Hate: Sarcasm and humor abound as a bunch of grade Z Marvel heroes merrily stamp the living pus out of various threats including Forbush Man.

2) Planetary: Mystery upon mystery as these archaeologists of the unknown dig for the mysteries of the universe, with elements of Marvel, DC and science fiction films thrown in. One plot dealt with the origins stories of Superman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman going horribly wrong, another with an island of giant monster corpses. All is explored from new angles (most of the series is available as trades and it is due to wrap up soon).

3) Agents of Atlas (a miniseries). Takes the classic 1950's Marvel Heroes (from when the company was known as Atlas), such characters as Marvel Boy, Narmora, Venus and FBI Agent Woo and puts them against the Yellow Claw. It has that golden age feel but more sophisticated. If you like Doom Patrol you will love this.

Ummm... I'm only familier with JTHM and Lenore, but a personal favorite is Nightmares and Fairytales by FSc and Serena Valentino.
