Not sure if you've ever heard of them but I love the smell of Choward's Violets. They're these little square chalky candies and they smell like what I imagine heaven would smell like. My maternal grandfather passed away 2 years before I was born and so I never got a chance to meet him. My mother always told me he would have loved me and spoiled me because she was his favorite. She also told me he loved Choward's Violets so I think when I was a kid I ate them in some attempt to know my grandpa on a metaphysical level. Sounds weird I know but still that is my favorite smell in the world.

all time favorite smell are lilacs in the spring time. When i smell them that is the meaning of fresh spring flowers. I always cut a few off my bush and put them in a bowl of water and they smell the whole house up for quite a few days...L
