if you sell something to someone how do you know will get your money? if you send the item but don't get your money what will ebay do? if you buy something off someone but get a different product than the one that was advertised what happens then? would you get reimbursed? could you call the police if you get ripped off and would they do something?

i also heard if you cheat someone you can get banned from ebay or get a lower score or something, but do people actually care? i mean you could just recreate another account couldnt you?

Many people use Paypal through ebay and usually before they ship out the item, they wait for the payment. Paypal processes the payment and notifies you right away when you get the payment. More info on that @: www.paypal.com
If you get an item that was not the one described on the listing, if you paid through paypal your money would most likely go back to you.. I'm 99% sure. You would report it to ebay and they'll pretty much deal with it.
If you paid with something else, I think it would be different. Paypal is the safest way in my opinion to buy items off of ebay.

you dont send the item until you receive a payment from them.when sending a payment for an item, include the item number with your payment to reduce the chances of a mess up.if u get a product other than what you ordered contact the seller, they will work with you,and most of the time they will pay for all shipping errors.you could call the cops, but when you sign up for ebay, your making them the Judge and Jury. They will hit an account with a strike. After a few strikes,a bad ebayer is off the site.People do care about their ebay score. If you have negative comments, people wont buy or sell to you.Its the 1 thing everybody on Ebay looks at.You could open another account, but if the address and location is the same...you would have to get a PO box to cheat from then on out.

sometimes, your have to trust the people your are buying from. 1.when you sell an item, dont ship it until you get the money.
2.you will get the money in the mail
3.if you buy a product and don't get the correct object, then try to contact the person and get the right object. Maybe... If that doesn't work you can sue...but if you do sue taxes raise.

The item is sent as soon as payment is received. You can't make another account with your details. The police won't do much.

Try seeing the bidders on ebay motors. They are hidden.
They are coming to your ebay.
