My shift key recently started sticking. It still moves up and down but it is very slow. I spilled a slight amount of Pepsi around the key last week, but I thought I cleaned all of it using a paper towel. I have a Logitech G15, so I'm not going to just scrap the keyboard. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey there,

Most of the keyboards that I wanted to save, I have completely taken them apart and washed them in water. I have even put one in the dishwasher and let it dry for a week with no problems.

That is what I would do. However, I usually don't buy expensive keyboards.

Tom

KeyTronics, in one of their training videos back in 1996, actually shows and tells you to put their keyboards in the dishwasher.

(Please note this is a drastic repair)

Go to nearest toolbox,

Get pliers, (or flat tip screwdriver, more common)

Rip key off keyboard.

Throw key on floor, stomp on it and pretend you just made a Superbowl touchdown.

Mutter something like "Yeah take that you %$#@%!!

Perform more victory dance.

(In case above actions are actually done, plan on getting new keyboard at local puter shop or radio shack as this information is not to be taken literally)

Most likely some crap has fallen into keyboard, remove and clean with sponge until crap is gone. By all means do NOT get any water/cleaners into peg hole (unless you want to take keyboard apart)
