It is stalling when stopped.

The check engine light is not on and there are no trouble codes.

This is pretty common in cars at that age...It can really only be a couple of things... One is the idle air control valve (IAC). Fixing this problem is really easy. Locate it, remove it, and then clean it with some rubbing alcohol and then reinstall... The other is your mass air flow sensor (MAF). That is fixed the same way as the IAC... Most of the time it is the IAC, so go with that first... I can also tell you that if you take it to a shop, they will most likely replace it and charge you way more then what it is worth... you will know what I mean after you do it yourself...

do any work under the hood recently? sounds like a vaccum line got disconnected somehow.

it runs normally until you are at a stop, right? then it stalls out.

Let me know if you need anything or have any other questions!
