Most of the world will yawn & look the other way. They will continue to do business with them. Only the US, Israel & maybe a handfull of other countries will care.

Iran has no reason to withdraw from the NPT except for nuclear weapons. Ahmedinejad's assurances that Iranian nuclear tech is only going to be used for power stations are bolstered by Iran's membership under the NPT. They will continue to have international support of their nuclear tech growth if they continue on as NPT members. Withdrawal will definitely be a reason to question their aims for nuclear tech, and they know it.

Who thinks you can believe Iran's President Mahmud Ahmadinedad? Remember 1939, Neville Chamberlain, Adolph Hitler. Does any of that ring a bell?
