Your name is beautiful but it is indeed long. Do you ask people to call you the full name as a greeting? I can see why people would tend to shorten it, and maybe the use of Emily is an attempt to make it fit in their mouths more comfortably. It could also be a reference to William Faulkner's "A Rose for Emily," but that's a little less likely...

But your name isnt Emily,its totally diferent. ITs Emmanuelle. And I say its pretty and not too long. You have a long first name but Rose is short and it flows very prettily (not a word,i know).

don't pay attention to it i think it is a pretty name most people have names like Hannah or Emily they are not unique yous is my name happens to be Marilee that isn't long but it is weird but i like that not many people have that name it makes me unique

Well, If you really like your name then just insist on people calling you by that name. If you don't like it, then just shorten it or give yourself a nickname.

i like your name i think it's nice.
your friends can't be good friends if they make fun of you like that.
it obviously bothers you or you wouldn't write about it.
if you don't like your name then change it.
