I'm worried about my baby's kidney. My doctor says there is fluid around it. I am 29 weeks pregnant. I wanted to know what it could be from and what could possibly happen to her in the future. Should I be worried?

I just want to say that the person who said you were probably freaked out is right and I am almost positive this is your first child. That being said there is a number you can call either at you hospital or Dr. office for ? like this one.. If you can't find it I live in AZ. and the number for us is 928-344-2000 ask for the nurse's hot-line they will know what it is you will have to give the reason you are calling your name phone number and a nurse will call back or be on the phone right away they will talk to you about it and tell you what to do ..I use them all the time and I can't live with out them don't worry I don't live in that city and I still call them..I have 5 kids and the worst thing you can be doing is to worry so take a breath and relax and then call .I hope the best for you...

You were probably too shocked or worried to say anything at the time, but these questions are best posed to your physician. That's what he is getting paid for, and you should feel comfortable talking to him/her. Now go make that call and get the answers you need!

i agree, instead of freaking yourself out (not hard to do in this situation) talk to your doctor and always get a second opinion before you do anything drastic (your entitled to a second opinion, it's your right) like a surgery of any kind....good luck....
